Last Feb. 15 Ron and I attended the 5th Anniversary celebration of the Cebu Bloggers Society or commonly known as CBSi. It was our first time to be present for their anniversary. This group really did help us get into events that would be very beneficial to our blogs. The members are surprisingly very welcoming and friendly. That night of cocktail dresses, sumptuous buffet and unlimited glasses of wine was held at Harold’s Hotel.
I have always been curious about Harold’s Hotel. They just look very prestige every time I pass by the area. Now, that I have finally entered the premises, I would say it really is a competitive one. The food and the crew were just a delight and the roof deck area where we took the spot to host the event was just amazing. The area isn’t as big as the other hotels but in such enough space the interior design and the amenities are truly high class.
Moving on, the anniversary party was also the time to thank and appreciate the companies and organizations that have accompanied CBSi’s path for quite some time now. Truly they deserve to be awarded for always being there to support us all the way. Also, the most loyal and the finest bloggers were also bestowed with trophies and certificates.
But what became the highlight of the event was winning two of the biggest raffle prizes for the night. One was the winning the Blackberry Curve 9220 and the Overnight stay for two with breakfast at Harold’s Hotel. Well, luckily Ron won the Blackberry and another fellow blogger won the overnight stay. I never get to win raffle prizes and sadly, I guess it will always be that way. LOL
So right after a series of award giving, the night ended with a toss to a more beautiful and stronger organization and more years to come to CBSi. The night was also the link to publicly launching the first ever Social Media Influencers Summit 2013 which will partake on March 16 at JCenter Convention Center of JCenter Mall in Mandaue.
I really had a great night with my fellow bloggers. The faces that I only interact with via facebook have now become a face to face interaction that night. I’ll end this post by thanking CBSi for warmly welcoming Ron and me and to Mr. Ruben Licera, President of CBSi, for being such a fun and understanding leader and lastly, Mr. Mark Monta for founding and initiating the union of fellow bloggers in Cebu.
